Thank you

The Outlawz challenge for November 12th is the poem Thanksgiving Time

When all the leaves are off the boughs,
And nuts and apples gathered in,
And cornstalks waiting for the cows,
And pumpkins safe in barn and bin,
Then Mother says, “My children dear,
The fields are brown, and autumn flies;
Thanksgiving Day is very near,
And we must make thanksgiving pies!”

In the UK we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, we have Harvest Festival which is a similar idea, but is earlier than Thanksgiving and is not a holiday, but is celebrated in churches and schools. Most people remember Harvest Festival from childhood with songs and collecting and distributing food. My daughter has now left school and I do miss events like that.

I spent ages trying to think how to make a card for this challenge, I had so many idea, but not the time or energy for what I had in mind and the fact that due to the chaos of my saved files it took me days to find images that I knew I had. The upshot being we are trying to organise my files better, but meanwhile it makes even less sense!

I used a background from Craftsuprint which they kindly sent to me again as I completely lost the original downloads, but thankfully had the receipt. I drew some pumpkins on the Cricut and the wording Thank you. I am pleased with the simple but effective end product.
