The Outlawz Sunday song and rhyme Challenge for 10th Dec is based on a poem called the Oxen by Thomas Hardy using an image from Di’s Digis. I chose the image called It’s cold outside.
I wasn’t sure how to marry the image and the poem to start with, but reading an analysis of the poem, which says it is voiced by an older man remembering Christmas eve as a child, I was then able to use the mouse sleeping on Christmas eve and believing that Santa is on his way. The star background, moon and reindeers are from Make and Create Paper pads which were available in the Works last year and mounted on white scalloped card. I have highlighted the candle , bell and mouse nose with glossy accents, it’s not very clear in the picture.
Do you make cards or enjoy songs and rhymes, take a look at the challenge and join in, there is a new rhyme/song every fortnight, or check out the other Outlawz challenges which change monthly.
