The Outlawz Sunday song and rhyme challenge for 13th October, is based on the poem My October garden by Christina Rosseti. Rosseti was and English poet born in 1830. She suffered a life time of physical and mental health issues.

I took my inspiration from broad faced asters and the nightingale.

Using a stitch pattern from Form a Lines I stitched the flowers in blue and yellow and then mounted in an aperture cut on my Cricut Joy extra, then added a Nightingale on a branch also cut on Cricut Joy extra. Asters are one of the birth flowers for September.
The colours I chose were influenced by the Nightingale being the national bird of Ukraine, blue and yellow are the colours of the Ukraine flag. The Nightingale is a very plain bird, but has a beautiful song and is said to be able to make more than 1000 sounds.
