Beware of the Cat

The rhyme for March is called The Little Folk, by Shirley Barber a British author and illustrator. Her works were written after she emigrated to Australia in 1965. Shirley started out as an artist designing wallpaper. Most of her written work is about animals or fairies.

Anyone who knows me will know how much I love cats, so it was the final two lines that got my attention, and of course is typical cat behaviour.

The cat and bushes are cut with Creative Expressions die The Cat’s Pause. Firstly cut in green then black and the cat cut out and added onto the green. It is mounted on backing paper from Craft Stash called Dandelion Days from their Apple Blossom range, I then added a layer of green paper and another layer of the Dandelion Days paper. The little flowers and bees are inspired by the first verse that mentions blossom and bees, they are resin embellishments from Temu.

The challenge will run on Outlawz Sunday song and rhyme page for the month of March, so plenty of time to join the challenge.
