Wow how fast did January go? Mind you I think it’s partly because my daughter and husband both have birthdays the first week in February, so I go straight from Christmas into getting sorted for their birthdays and this year it is a big one for my daughter, 18!! It feels like the last 18 years passed in a flash too.
Anyway the other celebration for February is of course Valentine’s day. The poem for this months Sunday song and rhyme challenge is

Elizabeth Barrett Browning was an English poet. She wrote poetry from an early age. Aged 15 she became ill, with what was possibly ME. She suffered ill health all her life.
How do I love thee was published as part of a collection of 44 poems in 1850 and is one of her most famous poems.
So on to the card, as the line I love thee is repeated many times, I took that for the inspiration.

I used a metal cutting die to cut the word Love, cutting the image twice to get the red and fill in the gaps with black. The I and U are cut with my Cricut Joy Extra, again cut twice to get the contrasts. Mounted on a backing paper with little red hearts and then onto a red background and on to a white card.
This card is available to buy from my website www.craftyjanes.co.uk or from my Facebook page. You can also join in the challenge by visiting Outlawz.
Now it’s time to crack on to be ready for my daughter’s 18th birthday, oh I feel so old. How is my baby an adult?!
