The Sunday song and rhyme challenge was set by me this month and is based on the song Drip, drip drop little April shower from the film Bambi, originally made in 1942. The music was written by Frank Churchill and Lyrics by Larry Morey.

April showers are intermittent, localized rain showers during the spring, often caused by convection and temperature contrasts between the land and the sea. They are a common feature of the UK’s spring weather, often characterized by sunny periods followed by short bursts of rain. Due to global warming April showers are becoming heavier and happen earlier in the season.
So on to the card. I chose an umbrella design from Card Broidery and added musical notes from a pattern from Form-a-lines.

The pattern is stitched with metallic threads onto a raindrop and cloud backing image, which was cut to shape using my Gemini die cutter. It was then mounted on a shiny blue piece of card on a white card blank. The wording is written on my Cricut Explore 4 using LD Music font.
It was announced this week that one of my favourite online stores, craftstash is closing down, they have a huge sale on, but when I tried to look the site kept crashing and many things are now sold out.
